about us

Organisation's History

The Rohingya Maìyafuìnor Collaborative Network was established in response to the ongoing crisis faced by the Rohingya people in Myanmar. Our founding members have experienced forced displacement and statelessness. We embarked on a mission to support and advocate for our community.

The organization’s history is rooted in a commitment to humanitarian principles, social justice, and human rights. We initially began as a small, dedicated group of individuals who recognized the need to address the multifaceted challenges faced by the Rohingya, including persecution, displacement, and lack of access to basic rights and services.

We have grown and expanded our reach, forming alliances with local and international partners, while remaining driven by the same passion and purpose that led to our inception. Today, our history is marked by a series of collaborative efforts, advocacy initiatives, and grassroots programs aimed at promoting the well-being and rights of the Rohingya people.

Our Core Values

Our Mission

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.

Advocacy for Rohingya Human Rights

We tirelessly advocate for the protection and restoration of the rights of the Rohingya community. Our efforts draw global attention to their plight, collaborating with international organizations, governments, and civil society to demand justice and rehabilitation of the Rohingya community.

Preventing and Addressing Gender-Based Violence (SGBV)

Recognizing the disproportionate impact of SGBV on Rohingya women and girls, we implement programs aimed at prevention and sustainable support. Our initiatives encompass awareness campaigns, capacity building, educational access, and socio-economic inclusion to create safer environments for women and girls in displacement.

Education

We firmly believe in the transformative power of education. Our organization is dedicated to enhancing access to quality education for Rohingya children and adults, nurturing a brighter future for the community through advocacy for access to traditional means of education, vocational training and enhanced reinforcement of existing skill sets that Rohingya refugees already possess.

Translocal Solidarity

In an interconnected world, we actively build bridges of solidarity with marginalized and oppressed communities. We share experiences and strategies, fostering collective empowerment and social change. Our core values focus on creating harmony and strengthening solidarity across the domestic landscape of Burma/Myanmar as well as the Asia-Pacific Region.

Women, Peace, and Security

We place a particular emphasis on the vital role of women in promoting peace and security within the Rohingya community and beyond. Through leadership development and advocacy, we empower Rohingya women to become active agents of positive change.
what we do

Our Impact

Our efforts have achieved significant milestones within a short period of time. We’ve heightened awareness about the Rohingya crisis, garnered support for our initiatives, and cultivated a network of allies dedicated to our cause. Positive changes have been witnessed in the lives of Rohingya women and children, providing them with hope and opportunities for a brighter future in Aceh, Indonesia. We hope to carry out this work carefully and empathetically throughout the region of Southeast Asia as it is one of the main areas of refuge for the community after Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. These values inform and guide our daily efforts to make a positive and lasting difference in the lives of the Rohingya people and to uphold their fundamental human rights.
